Sicamous Beach BC

So here is how we ended up at Sicamous Beach...

We originally canceled the last 3 nights at our hotel in Revelstoke and booked a room in Kelowna BC (after lots of research on the hotels). Than we go out for dinner and I am trying to find out the air quality in Kelowna (because of the forest fires) and to my amazement I come across a site that says the beaches in Kelowna are closed!! OMG I look at John and say "Ummm it says here the beach is closed in Kelowna" So he phones the hotel we made the reservation and sure enough the beach is closed. OMG we told Tornado that we were going to the beach and now what are we to do. How do you explain to a 4 yr old that the beach is closed?!?! So we decide ok I guess we just pack up and go home tomorrow, this is Thursday and we are supposed to be there till Saturday SO super early. The next morning we pack everything up and check out and than start to chat with the lady for our hotel and well she tells us about Sicamous Beach that is only 30minutes away. SWEET!! We decide to go there and see if we can get a room and go to the beach!! LOL the only nice looking hotel had a room for I think it was 250.00!! That is double the rate of our room back in Revelstoke that has the jacuzzi tub!! So after debating we call back the hotel and see if our room is still free, it is!! :) So we spend the day at the beach and than head back to our same hotel in Revelstoke. It was a fun filled day!! Can you see where you are aiming?

LOL Tornado has no face LOL

Last year Tornado was scared of the water BUT this year he just bolted for it...kinda scared John cuz he was going in so fast. LOL I guess the swimming lessons paid off :)
It was the same depth all along and that was the deepest :)
Just look at the joy on his face!! I LOVE IT!!

We also played in the sand but my camera got put away so it would not get wrecked!!

ps. If we had come home this day our van would still be in front of our house. LOL But it was a blast at the beach and I am glad we did it!!

We did not go very far...but it was still nice.

This is the same waterfall we stopped at last year!! So it is really neat to be able to reflect back and see how much Tornado has changed.

Everytime he took a step there was a little jump in it :)
Other kids would not go past this part because of the gaint spider! LOL

He was very uneasy in the beginning but each run he got better and better :)

He was very upset his first round because he missed out on this cuz he had to go pee! But he made up for it :)

This place was AMAZING!! Well worth the money!! It is located right beside the Enchanted Forest...they have a web site if you want to check it out!!

12 weeks along.

At the end of the ghost town Tornado turns to us and says "Ok now lets go to the ghost town" we chuckle and say "This is the ghost town" Tornado "No it's not there are not any ghosts here!!" LOL kids are so precious!!
