Halloween Night 2010

He thought these ghosts were from Ghostbusters!!
LOL His face would make you think I asked for this picture BUT he was really happy when I asked him if he wanted a picture in front of this yard.
The skelaton was a HIT!! It would talk to him everytime he walked by. Probably spent 5 minutes there having a conversation with that guy.
Oh my!! He was scared of that black thing in the chair!! He ran by it so fast when he finally got the courage to pass it. LOL
Checking out all his candy!!

Posing with the creepy guy!!
This house was AMAZING!!
Enter If You Dare

Can't really see the neat decorations

Trick or Treat ~ This house had a hand outside the door that moved...freaked Tornado out!!

Spooky

Tornado just LOVED the houses that were decorated!!

Heading out.

Showing off his load of candy from the mall

Needed proof we were at the mall. LOL

Happy Halloween 2010!!

This year was Tornado's first HALLOWEEN party at his preschool!! He was so very excited!! He picked out his costume and there was no changing his mind on this one, it was very cute. Now me being the bad mom forgot to bring along my camera to get the group picture BUT I do have a few mom's that will email them to me. :) When I get them I will be sure to share!!

The morning before his party.
Chopping up his head! LOL
Now here I think he believes he is a witch skeleton!!
The face paint did not stay on for long though. I had to take it off before we left for preschool because it was making his face TOO itchy!! He told me he would be a VERY special skeleton because his face was not painted.
He even went around making the sound of chattering bones!! This was a great day!! For him but not for me. LOL He came home from the party just WIRED!! It is not a good idea to stuff the kids full of candy at 915AM and than send them home at 1115AM. But we survived the day and now I have an idea what to look forward to for Sunday. LOL
When I asked him what he did at preschool this is what he told me:
We played BINGO!! I had to make a line!!
We played bowling!!
We did crafts!!
We had CANDY!!
And at the end of the day they got to come around to all of us parents and Trick or Treat with the bags they had made!!

Pumpkin Fun!!

Tornado seen pumpkins being carved on the T.V. one morning. He was set in his ways to carve a pumpkin that day! He hounded us and hounded us until we finally got home to carve the pumpkin. We had agreed in the morning that we would carve a pumpkin that day BUT that was not enough for him. LOL
We ventured out to Blue Grass, because that is where they were having a big event that we seen on the T.V. ! Well it was a freaking ZOO!! So we turned around and went back. We ended up buying him a pumpkin at Co-op. WOW pumpkins are expensive. $0.39/pound does not sound bad BUT in the end this pumpkin was $15.00!! Oh well it was fun had by all so the price does not matter!!
Showing his pumpkin he loves it!!
Yep we made him stick his hand inside!!
EWE!!!!
Cutting out the eyes.
"That's pretty cool!"
The finished product! You can not see it but he gave his pumpkin ears too. He needed ears to be able to hear us. LOL

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

After we carved the pumpkin it was time for me and Tornado to make pumpkin seeds!!
Stirring up all the spices!!
Laying the seeds out on the cookie sheet!!

Here is the recipe we used:

Ingredients
2 cups raw pumpkin seeds
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 1/4 teaspoons seasoned salt
Directions
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
Rinse the pumpkin seeds and pat dry.
Place them in a bowl.
Add the Worcestershire sauce, melted butter and seasoned salt; stir until evenly coated.
Spread out in an even layer on a baking sheet.
Bake for about 1 hour in the preheated oven, stirring occasionally, until crisp, dry and golden brown.
