Grandpa D. is upstairs having a visit and we are talking about how tubby Meme is.

Grandpa D. says 'Too bad we don't have a Buddha in our house to compare her too.'

Tornado responds 'We do Grandpa!! My Daddy, You and Meme are Buddhas!!!'

OH I laughed so hard!!

How My Son Makes Me Laugh!!

~We are driving along the ring road, on our way to a play date, and Tornado says to me 'Mom look those buildings are making clouds for us!!' He was very excited that there were cloud makers!!

~ I tell Tornado that Grandma and Papy are coming over for coffee. Tornado replies 'How about 2 cups of coffee!!'

~ I am mopping away when all of a sudden my mop falls apart!! I hear a voice from across the room 'Now why did you go and do that Mom'

~His all time favorite phrase for the month of March... 'Oh well live with it!'

~I am getting ready one day and Tornado comes up to me and asks 'Are those Pajama jeans?'

Oh the things kids come up with!! I just LOVE it!!!

What A Son I Have!!!

Here is what is going on at my house with Tornado:

1. Tornado received board games for Christmas and well this opened our eyes...Tornado needs to know how to lose!! He gets so very upset of he loses and goes yelling and stomping off to his room followed by a slam of his door. He also needs to work on keeping the number/colour that appears on the dice after he has rolled. If it is not the right number or colour he tries to re-roll and when he is told he can not do that the yelling and stomping off to his room followed by a slam of his door occurs again.
2. After having Dad home for 7 days over the holidays Tornado was very sad to see him return to work. Tornado was not even excited about returning to school. Now to my point...we get home from school, his first day back, and the phone rings...it is Dad. I go to answer the phone and Tornado comes running for the phone saying "Dad doesn't want to talk to you, he is calling me because he ONLY misses me." they finish up their conversation and Tornado goes to hang up the phone. I ask if I could please have the phone. Tornado replies "NO! Dad just called me!! He doesn't want to talk to you."
3. Dad and Tornado are looking at the Carhart site and he comes running over to me yelling "Mom come here QUICK you have to see this!!!" I go over and he is so excited that they have Carhart product for woman too. He really wanted me to some BUT I explained to him that we had to wait until Baby was born and why. Our son just LOVES carhart!!!
4. Dad and Tornado are sitting on the couch and Tornado says he needs something. So Dad asks 'What?' Tornado replies 'I need this ball that if you throw it it comes right back to you. It comes right back to you because of gravity. If you throw it up gravity brings it right back to your hand!! If you throw it left gravity makes it come right back to your hand!! If you throw it right gravity makes it come right back to your hand!!' Dad and I chuckle as we try to hold in the laughter. It was so very cute to listen to though and to see how proud he was to share this info. with us!!
5. Everything to Tornado is UNBELIEVABLE!!!
6. Tornado wants to use my chapstick, Carmex, and I tell him to use his Toy Story Chapstick he got from Santa. He comes up to me a little bit after he used his and says 'Mom I need to use your chapstick because mine didn't work. I need yours because it is professional." LOL who knew chapstick could be professional!!!
7. There is a first for everything ~ January 15 2011: My hubby goes into the living room to find Tornado hiding under the living room table. That spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E right there!! He calls me into the living room and all I hear is 'Tornado come out of there.' my heart sinks thinking something terrible has happened. When he comes out from under the table this is what we find: Tornado got gum all stuck in his hair!! I had to cut it out. It was all over the back of his head...good thing he is a boy and you can not tell where I cut. He also managed to get it all over his Carhart shirt. (of course it was the most expensive shirt he has that he got it in.)
8. I have been informed: Chocolate milk comes from brown cows and white milk comes from white cows!! I asked where strawberry milk comes from and he has no idea!!!
9. When ever anything goes down the wrong tube well he is drinking or eating and he chokes on it Tornado says 'It went down the wrong tube...it went down the chocolate milk tube.'
10. Tornado comes up to me and sticks up his middle finger but backwards. In shock I ask him 'Ummm what are you doing? and where did you learn that?' He replies 'Daddy.' Dad looks very shocked and I am just chuckling to myself. Dad replies 'When do you ever see me do that?' Tornado replies 'To the guy behind us when you are driving' LMFAO!!! Dad says 'Oh that is just a way of saying Hello' GREAT now my son is going to go around giving people the middle finger because he is saying Hello!!! LOL

Wordless Wednesday ~ January 5 2011

I am minding my own business having a shower when I hear the door open. I think to myself 'Great Tornado is going to try to invade my shower.'

Than all of a sudden I have an alligator and a shark at my feet.

Than the door slams shut.

Nothing else was ever mentioned of this!!

LOL

Oh We Laughed So Hard!!

We are sitting watching T.V. and in comes Tornado with the middle, toy story, tin and a piece of paper.

He says "O.K. lets see if you can guess the right one." Than runs off to him room.

I start laughing immediately but Dad is still lost and confused.

Than out from his room he brings the other two buckets. Well Dad understands now and the laughter begins.

Tornado says "O.K. you see this paper?"

Dad nods yes with tears running down his face.

Tornado "O.K. lets see if you can find it."

Oh we laughed the whole time he was switching around the tin and buckets. My stomach hurt, there were tears running down my face and well I was having a hard time catching my breathe.

Tornado "Mom it is your turn first." Well I couldn't just guess the right one right away...I had to play the game. LOL

Tornado switched them up again...

"Dad it is your turn now." Dad got it in one guess. LOL

We than explained to him that it is best to get 3 cups or containers that look the same.

When I was taking the picture of the first three things he brought out he also informed me I had to take a picture of the other three we told him to use so the audience would understand!!

December 3/4 2010 ~ Putting Up The Christmas Tree

We go out to buy our tree and Dad has the bright idea that Tornado will pick out the tree this year. I am hesitant because last year we got a really good one and wanted the same kind because it survived the month so well. But of course I go along with it because how can I tell Tornado no after Dad told him he could pick it out!?!?

We get to the tree lot and Tornado walks right up to one and picks it out. He didn't even look around at the other trees. This was the tree and we were done!! I think he got his shopping habits from his Dad, in and out just like that.

Well this tree was SO big we had to:

squish it into the back of the truck!! LOL

drag it up our front stairs!! LOL

move our kitchen table so it could get into our living room!! LOL

use our brackets backwards for our tree stand!! LOL

cut off some of the top of the tree because it was scraping the ceiling!! LOL

Tornado says "Dad you can't put screws in the tree!! That will hurt it!!!"

Mom replies "Honey just think of it as the tree getting a needle."

Dad says "Ya, it doesn't hurt it. And we need it to keep the tree standing up in the stand."

Tornado answers "OK!! But can I put the screws in the tree!!"

After all the discussing of hurting the tree, Tornado had fun putting the screws into the tree!!

We had to get Grandpa D upstairs because well it was so big and I'm a short pregnant ass!!

Ta Da!!! The end result!!!

Dad did the lights...Tornado and Mom did the ornaments!!

It was fun this year decorating it with Tornado!! He understood the previous years ornaments that we had gotten for him. He was excited to put ALL his ornaments on the front and he wanted to talk about them too. He also thinks that the ones John or I had from when we were young are now his too and only his, that is something we have to work on I guess. LOL

Also, if I left the decorating just to Tornado there would be a million and one ornaments on one branch!! LOL

ps. My nutcrackers are no longer mine either!! Tornado has my nutcracker obsession...but for different reasons. I like them for decoration...Tornado likes them as toys!!

This weekend we ended up renting Toy Story 3 from the movie store. Tornado was in his glory!!

"Thaaattt'sss SSSOOO funny" followed by hysterical laughter is all we would hear from the bedroom. He watched the whole movie without a peep, which is very uncommon for him.

Than the next morning he said he wanted to watch it again. "No problem" I said. Well it was a BIG problem!! Tornado had taken it off the island and put it somewhere. I asked him where he had put it BUT the way he looks for things and remembers things is SO very frustrating!!

I spent at least an hour searching for this DVD. I looked everywhere and anywhere!! Under beds, in the couch, in cupboards, in toy boxes, in the garbage, in the bathroom!!! I mean I looked in the dumbest of places!!

In the end we had to go out SO I told him that he would have to use his money from Grandpa D. to pay the movie store for the DVD he had lost. That meant he could spend his money when we went out.

When we got home I again started to search for this freaking DVD!! I was just in shock, how could something just vanish!! Oh the longer I looked the more and more frustrated I got. SO I had to just give up and forget about it.

The next day comes and the DVD is still missing. I am still in shock. How could my son not remember what he did with it? Where the heck would he have put it? GAH!!

Than I am buzzing around cleaning and Tornado and Dad are in the living room and I hear "Look at what Tornado found." I make my way into the living room slowly...and BAM in Tornado's hand is the DVD!! "Where the heck was it? Because neither of us seen him come in here with it." I ask To our amazement it was in the DVD stand!! Did either of us think to look there...NO!! We both looked by the DVD players and by the T.V.'s but not the DVD stand!! LOL

So in the end Tornado sorta put it away in the correct spot BUT next time PLEASE tell us and don't let me spend endless hours and energy searching for a movie.

Friday's Funny ~ Kids Say The Darndest Things!!!

We are sitting around last night looking through the flyer's and this is how this conversation went:

Dad says "YES!! I can get a pink rifle!!"

Tornado replies "I will take the brown one."

Mom asks Tornado "What on earth do you need a gun for?"

Tornado replies "To shoot bears of course!!"

In his voice was the sound like DUH!! How the heck did you not know that Mom!!

Mom replies "Oh I see."

Tornado says "And birds too."

Mom and Dad just busted out laughing!!! These are the moments we have to treasure!!

When You Let Them Dress Themselves!!

The joys of when children start to have their own options on what to wear!!

We are getting ready for preschool on this very chilly morning...and this is how my son dressed himself. LOL

"I need sunglasses today Mom. It is sunny outside." Tornado tells me

"Really?!? Honey it doesn't look that sunny out to me." I tell him as I look out our kitchen window

"Yes! I heard it was sunny. That is what they said on the news." replies Tornado

But yet he still need to have the mittens on and the winter boots on and the green frosty hat on(that is too small) because it was COLD out and he needed to be a SUPER WARM FROSTY MAN!!

Tornado Update For October

SO we had our roof redone, thank goodness it was the week before the snow fell and the cold weather set in!! We were not home when they finished up so we did not see what they had done. WELL those nice worker men, as Tornado calls them, re shingled his play house!! SO I made sure that my hubby sent them a nice email thanking them for the nice job they had done!! (he had the info not me or I would have emailed them.) It really made Tornado's day!!

Tornado says "WOW!! That was very nice of those worker men to do my play house roof too!! Now I don't have to worry about it leaking for YEARS!!!"

So we all know this picture as a Motorbike or a Motorcycle...not Tornado!! He calls it a Motorbycle!!

We were driving along and beside us pulls up a Motorbike.

Tornado "A Motorbycle!!"

Dad "It is a motorbike or motorcycle."

Tornado "NOPE not to me Dad!! To me it is a motorbycle!!"

Oh my I laughed so hard!!

We are laying on the couch snuggling one night:

Dad says to Tornado "I love you Buddy"

Tornado replies "Thanx"
That is it that is all...nothing else was said. But you sure could hear me laughing up a storm.

One night I am giving Tornado a shower down and he has this blue foam soap in a can. I spray it all over his body.

He yells out "My penis has a MUSTACHE!!" and just cracks up.

Oh my he made me laugh so hard!!

It's Marvelous!!

Tornado has somehow learnt the word Marvelous. Here is how he has used it so far this week:

• We are watching TV and John gets up to get a drink. Tornado says "Daddy you missed you funny part on your show!! I'll pause it...no wait I will rewind it for you." In the mean time Mom and Dad are shocked that their 4 year old boy can work the remote so well. John comes back in and sits down and Tornado plays the show. The funny part plays and he says "See Daddy you missed the funny part!" LOL Daddy replies "Yes I sure did and you are getting really good at working that remote. Good job Buddy!" Tornado replies "Yes!! It's MARVELOUS!!" Oh he had me and John laughing up a storm.
• He is in the bathroom washing his hands and he works up a really good lather. He than shows me his hands and says "Look Mom isn't this MARVELOUS!" So very proud of himself. LOL I chuckle and reply "Yes my son that Marvelous...good job at washing your hands."

We are very unsure where this word has come from but it sure gives us a laugh every time we hear him use it.

I just LOVE the things kids come up with!!

Driving With Tornado

My son makes me laugh so very much when we drive together!! Here is one of the conversations we have had recently:
I hear a voice from the back "Mommy can you turn down the music please?"So I turn down the music and ask "Yes sir. What would you like?"
Tornado "I have changed my mind"
I asked very confused "Changed your mind about what?"
Tornado "I want to be Robin now"
I say "OK" still very confused "For Halloween?"
Tornado "No Mom. I want to be Robin instead of a police officer when I grow up!!" He than goes on about what kind of mask he will need and clothes. I just giggle to myself and give him a big smile!! Later that night he tells me "When I am Robin I can never get hurt or die!"
I am still in shock that my son had picked Robin over Batman...isn't it supposed to be the other way around?!?

Tornado's New Style

I am in the kitchen making lunch when Tornado comes running in and yells "TAAAADDDAAAAA!!!" He was so very proud of his new style!! LOL

They Grow So Fast!!

This next few pictures are of Tornado showing off his spiky hair that Daddy did for him!!!

You can see the marks on the wall...it starts off at 2months and goes all the way to Sept. 6 2010!! Last Friday I was dressing him and almost all his pants were too small now...so off to the measuring wall we went and in less than 3 mths he has grown just over an INCH!!!


You can't see it but his knee was bent too!! LOL what a goof ball I have!!
It is almost impossible to get a picture with his eyes open!! LOL
What a goof ball!?!?! But Mommy and Daddy love him very much!!

ps. As I am typing this post Tornado says "Oh man I'm getting old"

Say No To Crack!!

Every time Hubbys butt crack is showing in just the tinyest way Tornado yells out "Daddy STOP!! Butt crack!!" and he goes running across the house just to pull up John's pants/shorts. LOL I am just waiting for the day he does it when we are out in public!! LOL I am not sure where he got this from but it sure is cute when he does it!!

My Shopping Adventure With Tornado

Today we go to Wal-mart to pick up a gift for L, he is turning 1 tomorrow!!! He is just having a BLAST playing in the toddler section with all the toys. He is telling me he can help L do this and that and he can be the mail man for this toy etc. I can't help but giggle to myself. I tell Tornado "You know what buddy you are going to LOVE being a big brother!!" I can just picture him now playing with all the baby's toys with him/her and it puts the hughest smile on my face!!
We than make our way to the baby section, to pick up good night boxers. What a mistake that was!! LOL Tornado is trying to buy the whole clothes section for the baby. I explain to him we can't start to buy clothes until Sept. 25th 2010 when we find out if it is a boy or a girl. He says it is ok we can just buy this and this and this. LOL What a cutie!!
He is going to be such a good big brother!!

Week 9 With Baby Surprise

This week we are going to be talking about how Tornado has been with the baby...

• I am drinking Chocolate milk one day and Tornado comes up to me and this is what he says "Mommy babies can't drink chocolate milk can they?" I reply "No they can not" he than says "Than why are you drinking it...Harold can't drink it!" LOL
• Tornado is always chasing me around the house with a blanket for Harold. He says we have to keep him nice and warm!!
• I tried to explain to him that the babies name is not going to Harold when it is born but that did not go over very well. "Lets just call it Harold in the belly and when it comes out too"
• He is constantly checking my belly and every time says "Yep it is getting bigger!!"

Tornado is being so very cute about the whole thing!! I can't wait for the first time he feels baby move!!

Next update will be when I FINALLY get my first prenatal appointment!! It has been FOREVER, well that is how it feels anyways. lol I will 10.5 weeks when I go and I am hoping to hear the babies heart beat!!

My Son Has Been Invaded

WOW oh WOW!! So my son has grown horns, a tail and a pitchfork!! Seriously he has!! He was so incredibly misbehaved last week I had no idea what to do or think of this child of mine. He would not play, he would not do crafts, he would not watch his favorite shows, he would not do anything but ANNOY the hell outta Mom!! His favorite phrases:
"This is stupid"
"You're dumb" or "This is dumb"
"NNNEEEVVVEEERRRR"
He would say that over EVERYTHING!!! It drove me batty and he spent more time in his room the past week than I have ever had to send him there in the past 4yrs!! He would hit, kick, scream...everything you can think of he sure did it!!
Friday night was the worst night of all!! He would not eat his dinner at all. Kept yelling at us!! Got right in our faces and would not move!! Kept grabbing my Sudoku book and throwing it!! Kept attacking me, LOL. In the end we had to put him in his room for good, probably for his safety. LOL That is where he FINALLY fell asleep!!
But I have no idea where this child came from but can I please please please have my little angel back before it drives me to the batty bin!!!

What A Kid!!

The things my son comes up with:

• He is standing on my foot stool. I tell him to get down/off. He starts to get off and it tips over. I say "See you could of gotten hurt, next time listen please" He looks at me with this grin on his face and says "But I didn't" and gives me a hugh smile from ear to ear. LOL


• J got a new job, YES!!!! Tornado is very excited and has to call him to say "Dad you got a new job, that is really nice!! Good bye love you!"


• J wakes up today and Tornado says "Dad are you going to your new job?" Dad says "Nope not today, not for 2 weeks. I still need to go to my old job till than." Tornado replies "Oh ok. Mom he has to go to his old job for 2 weeks. (lol like I had no idea lol) BUT when he starts his new job we are going to have LOTS of money!!" and gives me the biggest smile ever.


• "When I am a grown up I am going to have LONG legs! But don't worry when I am a grown up I will still be your buddy and I will still snuggle!!"


• We are looking at the weekly flyers, yes I am a flyer freak, and Tornado is sitting there looking at them with me and he gets out his pen circles a product and says "Good price HUH!"
