I Have Made 37 Weeks!!!

STAY TUNED FOR BABY GIRLS BIRTH STORY!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What has happened this week:
  • Well remember how I was telling you my Group B Strep test came back positive...well I was reading up on it online, worst thing to do!!! I found out they give you penicillin and well I'm allergic to that. So I phone the doctors office to find out what they will do now. The receptionist asks if I told the nurse that. I tell her No because I read about it when I got home. She than asks if it is in my chart. I say it should be. She than puts me through to the nurse and the nurse checks my file...guess what...QUACK-A-DOODLE-DO faxed over my chart and said I had no allergies!!! Well anyone that knows me knows I have TONS!!! That just confirms he is a QUACK-A-DOODLE-DO!!
  • All the baby bottles etc. have been boiled!!! I finally found the energy to do it on Saturday.
  • The car seat has been put into the van, thanks to Mommy :), it only took until Monday to do it.
  • Tornado asks me everyday 'Is our baby going to be here today?' He is very excited to meet you!!
  • Mommy is happy that you made it to full term!! SOOO much stress has been lifted!!
  • Sunday I went to put on my pants and OMG they are getting really tight!!! Most of my shirts are too small now too...all of a sudden they do not want to fit over my belly!! Good thing I am almost done...pretty soon I will have to walk around my house in my underwear and trust me no one wants to see that!!
  • This week I had to make the hard decision to not watch Mouse anymore. I decided that after the last doctors appointment because I didn't want to have to worry about what to do if I went into labour well she was here. OR have her mom worry about if today was going to be the day.
  • I must document that I WAS RIGHT and DADDY WAS WRONG!!! He thought for sure you were coming out at 36 weeks but you were a good girl and stuck by Mommy's side!!
  • My belly button is now an outtie...YUCK!!! (sorry to any of my readers I offend by the YUCK part.)
  • I was up most of the night Monday with contractions...but after my nice warm shower they slowed down. Does this mean you are getting ready to come out?!?!
Tell Me Tuesday ~ January 25 2011
Tell Me Tuesday with Canadian Mama
Hosted by Canadian ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is that time again!!!
My question this week:
You all know I am ready to pop anytime now...and I hope it is sooner than later. I REALLY wanted a Feb. baby, because mine and hubby's b-days are in Jan. but Oh My Gosh I am done being pregnant!!! I will settle for a Jan. baby now...Tornado will get the honours of having a birthday in a different month. OK enough blabbing on to the question:
How big do you think this baby girl is going to be?
Past info. that may help you:
Tornado was 5' 10oz and 19 3/4 inches. He was born at 37 weeks.
Well pregnant with Tornado I smoked, yes very bad, I drank caffeine like it was water, I ate like crap, I could not take the vitamins because they made me visit the toilet too often, I worked like a hound dog and all in all was very bad.
With this pregnancy I have not had a cup of coffee or caffeinated drink since the night I found out, and I WANT A COFFEE SO BAD!!! LOL I have eaten relatively healthy, could be better but could be WAY worse. No smoking, no working like a hound dog. Been taking the vitamins since the night I found out too. All in all been trying to follow the rules of being pregnant.
At 36 weeks my belly measured 37 weeks. I have gained 50 pounds, doctor is happy with this because I guess I was under weight when I started.
Ummm I think that is about all I can think of to give you for helping you with the guessing...
GOOD LUCK!!!!
A Warranty That Really Works!!
This is how I got my Blackberry Torch for $60.00:
12 weeks ago I took my blackberry bold phone in to get repaired. It was acting funny and doing things it should not be doing like: going to a white screen at which point you had to pull the battery to get it back up and running. The screen decided to get black spots on it over night and they never went away. SO into the shop it went. I had a warranty on the phone so why not use it!!
Well it was in the shop for 6 weeks!! Thank goodness my Dad lent me his blackberry bold because the loaner phone was a blackberry pearl or something like that and well it SUCKED!! It would have been a long 6 weeks if I had the loaner phone.
It was a Saturday when we picked up my phone, Dec.11 2010 to be exact, and OMG were the malls ever busy!! We get my phone and off I go to shop with Tornado well my hubby gets his Blackberry Torch. (Yes I was very jealous he was getting the Torch but it was NOT in the budget for one let alone two!! I traded my Torch in for a breast pump.) Back to the point now. I am shopping and notice I have missed a phone call...I think to myself 'How the heck did I miss that call I put my phone on loud!' Don't think anything of it and off we go to another mall to get hubby's phone case, the other place was sold out. On the way I am playing with my phone and notice the volume is messed up. We fiddle with it and try to fix it but no go. SO off to the other mall we go again, so much fun too because it is so very busy at malls this time of year.
So we get back to the place where I have warranty and speak to Cole, the sales associate that has been helping us the whole time. He checks it out and is amazed at how quiet this phone is!! He gets Sam, the manager, over to check it out. They try to fiddle with it but no luck. In the end Sam tells us 'I will put a rush on the phone and it will be back in 2 weeks. For your trouble you can pick a free accessory.' Perfect hubby can get something free for his phone!! BUT I really did not believe my phone would be back in 2 weeks, well because that would be Christmas Day.
The weeks passed and when it was 6 weeks I was like 'WTH!! My phone is still not back?!?!' So I phoned the store. The first time I got a new employee so he was not much help, but he did inform me as to when Cole would be in. SO, I phone back when Cole is in and ask what is up with my phone because this is a very long 2 weeks!! Cole tells me he will call me back after speaking with the manager.
Sam, the manager, calls me back shortly and lets me know THEY HAVE LOST MY PHONE!! I was like 'Umm what?!?!' and thinking to myself 'how do you lose a phone?' Sam says 'SO we are going to replace it with the new Blackberry Bold 3.' I reply 'Here is a crazy question for you, do you think I could get the Torch instead?' Sam replies 'Sure thing all you have to do is pay $60.00 for it.' I reply 'OK done! I will be there shortly.'
Can you believe I got a $610.00 phone for only $60.00!!! I looked up the new blackberry bold 3 they were going to give me and well it was only worth $300.00!! Hubby is jealous because I got such an awesome deal BUT happy at the same BUT disappointed now because he can not rub it in my face at how GREAT his phone is BUT happy for me...etc.
In the end it cost $140.00, which we really didn't have BUT how do you pass up that offer, because I invested in the warranty again. Why would I not get the warranty again!!
So that is how I got my new Blackberry Torch...
I AM LOVING IT!!!!
Does This Really Happen?!?!
Starbucks Has Yet Another Word For "Large"
A whole new way to annoy coffee drinkers.
We wonder how many times some form of this conversation has taken place in a Starbucks:
Sleepy Morning Customer: I'd like a coffee please.
Snotty Morning Barista: What size?
SMC: Large.
SMB: We don't have large.
SMC: [blink] What?
SMB: We don't have large.
SMC: Do you have small?
SMB: No.
SMC: You don't have small. Okay. Do you have different sizes?
SMB: Yes.
SMC: Is one of them larger than the other?
SMB: We have three sizes.
SMC: [pinches area between eyes] Okay. One of them is larger than the other two, I'm guessing.
SMB: [pause: has to think] Uh, yeah.
SMC: I'll have that one.
SMB: Which one?
SMC: Oh dear lord…
We can now add a fourth size to Tall, Grande, and Venti: Trenta. (Thankfully, word on the street is you can just ask for the "Bucket o' Coffee.")
Today I am 36 Weeks With Baby Surprise!!
Today I am 36 Weeks!!
Here is how the doctors appointment went:
Weight ~ 155.6 pounds (funny thought I just had...pregnancy is probably the only time a woman shares her weight with the world!!)
Blood Pressure ~ 110/68
Baby girls heartbeat ~ 132
Belly measurement ~ 37
Here is what the doc had to say:
Doc checked me and he said OK your cervix is co-operating..for the next hour anyways. LOL
Doc still thinks baby will be here within the week. (I am going to say she will be late now just because they are saying this.) OR she can just wait till next Tuesday when I am 37 weeks!! LOL
My Group B streptococcus screening came back positive. After reading all about it I am freaked out beyond belief now!! So with that being said the doc and nurse said that if I have contractions for an hour that are 5-7 minutes apart and are strong I need to get my butt to L&D. That being said I had to make arrangements for Mouse, I didn't want her mom to have to worry about rushing her to pick her up OR myself having to stress about what I would do if her mom couldn't make it ASAP.
I think that about wraps it all up.
35.6 Weeks
35.6 Weeks
35.6 Weeks
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What has happened this past week:

  • Baby girl you have kept Mommy up many nights!! The worst was Saturday night. I kept cramping and they were so strong they would wake me up.

  • Sunday January 16 2011 I had contractions all day long!! Well sitting, well shopping, well cleaning..all in all well doing anything!! They got down to 7 minutes apart and were pretty strong but not strong enough to go the hospital. I had a bath and that slowed them down.

  • I am getting more and more nervous that you will come before 37 weeks!! All you have to do is wait for Jan. 25 2011, is that too much to ask?!?

  • Mommy and Daddy finished putting together your furniture!! Everything is set up and it looks wonderful!! Daddy and Tornado put together your change table and dresser. Mommy put together your swing. All we have left now is the bouncer chair and your car seat and to boil the things that need sterilizing. I had LOTS of fun sorting through your things and putting them all away.

  • Your big brother Tornado will NOT stop playing with your bassinet, diapers, change table etc. he is SUPER excited to meet you!!

  • It is really cute!! Every time your big brother touches my belly or talks to you, you get all excited and move around like CRAZY!!!

  • This week I had to take off my ring...it was sooo tight I had the marks in my finger for almost 2 days after I took it off. (I never had to take it off with Tornado.)Baby furniture all set up and ready to go!!!

Putting Together The Furniture

Daddy requested that I take pictures of your furniture being put together...this is a BIG request because Daddy is not a picture person at all!! SO Mommy had to fulfill this request.
Tornado helping Daddy

Tornado was SUPER excited about being Daddy's helper to put together Meme's furniture!

Tornado telling Dad where the metal bars belong.

Tornado FINALLY got to use the screwdriver!!

Mommy putting together your swing.

There were more steps than I remember with Tornado's. LOL
There you have it...pictures of how your furniture was put together!
Daddy says now that it is all put together you will come out...
....BUT Mommy says now you will be late because it is put together and we are ready.
Who will be right?!?!
ps. That night I cramped all night long and than Sunday, the next day, I had contractions all day long. They were 7 minutes apart!! Mommy and Daddy would like you wait until Jan.26 when you will be 37 weeks.

Friday's Funny ~ Bill Gates Vs. General Motors

For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives(!?!), read on....

At a recent computer expo (COMDEX),Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated,

'If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon.'

In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued a press release stating:

If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics (and I just love this part ):

1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash.........Twice a day.

2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car.

3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this.

4. Occasionally, executing a manoeuvre such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.

5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads.

6 The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single 'This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation' warning light.I love the next one!!!

7. The airbag system would ask 'Are you sure?' before deploying.

8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.

9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.

10. You'd have to press the 'Start' button to turn the engine off

PS - I'd like to add that when all else fails, you could call 'customer service' in some foreign country and be instructed in some foreign language how to fix your car yourself!!!!

A New Cigarette Hazard: ‘Third-Hand Smoke’

My husband emailed me this link about smoking. I found it very interesting and had to share it with all my bloggy friends.

This subject is very important to our family because our son, Tornado, has asthma. It is a very touchy subject and is very hard to get people to understand why we are so protective of our son. I guess you can say we have become snobs over the matter...but for very good reason: our sons health!!

Thursday's Useless Trivia and Facts ~ January 13 2011

  1. Chronic alcoholism shrinks the left side of the brain.
  2. Survey shows: One in three British kids say their mum prefers the cat to their dad.
  3. Rats are not mentioned in the Bible.
  4. In Japan, you can buy Stick-on Belly-Button Cleaners. A box of six sells for $6.15.
  5. The okapi is the only known relative of the giraffe (its neck is much shorter).
  6. An erupting volcano can shoot ash as high as 30 miles into the atmosphere.
  7. Ammonia gets its name from the Egyptian god Amun.
  8. In 2004 the Russian Orthodox Church officially ruled that playing chess is not a sin.
  9. The bookkeeping terms "in the red" & "in the black" come from the colors of the 12th-century abacuses.
  10. New England is larger than England; New York is larger than York; New Jersey is larger than Jersey.

Week 35 Pregnancy Update

Today I had a doctors appointment and here is how it went:
Weight ~ 153.6 pounds FINALLY my weight gain has slowed down!!
Blood pressure ~ 123/74
Baby's heartbeat ~ 133
Belly measurement ~ 35 and a half (still measuring 1/2cm bigger than my gestation)
Had the streptococcus bacteria swab completed
Here is what happened at the 33 Week check up if you are interested.
Than I almost got away with not having to go back until I was 37 weeks...but than the doc found out that my son decided to come at 37 weeks. Than she informed me that baby girl could come at 36 weeks because usually that is how it works!! WHAT?!?!?! Well I had a talk with baby and asked her nicely to stay inside until 37 weeks. BUT with all the pressure I have been having who knows what she has planned.
Than she was going to check me to see if I had dilated yet BUT I got lucky and she said she would leave it until next week.
That is how my doctors went...overall it was pretty good!! Just scary that baby could come as soon as next week...that makes me worry alittle...but I guess she will come when she is ready to get out and no one can stop it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What has been going on with Baby Girl Surprise the past 2 weeks...
  • Tornado LOVES singing to his baby sister!! He makes up his own words as he goes along. It is so cute to listen to and it puts a smile on my face every time.
  • One morning Tornado comes up to me and puts his head on my belly to talk to Meme, this is the nickname Tornado will call the baby. As he is talking Meme kicks him right in the face. We both laugh!! Well he repeats this about 6 times and every time she kicks him and every time we laugh! He told her that morning that when she comes out not to worry because they will play LOTS!!
  • The braxton hicks are still there and everyday they become more frequent. Sometimes they hurt and others it is just the tightening of the belly. They do follow a pattern when they do occur, at one point they were 7 minutes apart.
  • Mommy is soo done being pregnant...BUT you have to wait till at least Feb. 1 2011!! I love being pregnant BUT oh my gosh I am finding it hard to breath and get around. LOL I love feeling you move inside of me and I will miss that BUT at the same time I just want to meet you and hold you. With Tornado I was on bed rest at 26 weeks SO this is all new to me with you.
  • Well being pregnant with you I got to say good bye to my 20's!! Jan. 13 2011 I turned 30!!
  • Mom is getting very nervous about leaving Tornado, when I go into labour. I have only been away from him a few hours at a times AND never ever over night!! I wonder how he is going to handle it and than I picture him crying and being so sad sitting on the couch saying 'He just wants his Mommy' and 'I just miss Mommy'. It helps a little bit to know that Dad will be here after the delivery with Tornado BUT that doesn't help me!! (If that makes any sense to anyone but me. LOL)
  • Starting last week, 34 weeks, I have been up for at least 3 hours every night!! I am so tired but I just can not sleep. I would like to know why my body feels it is necessary to prepare me for baby's arrival so soon?!?!
  • My hands and feet tingle ALL the time.
  • Something I have craved this week that I find OH SO GROSS but LOVE eating it...Breaded chicken with a warmed up brownie. LIKE who in their right mind would eat that???
  • I have FINALLY prepared both Mommy's and Baby's hospital bags. With all the pressure and contractions I figured it better get done.
  • Mom and Dad were going to put together your change table and dresser this past weekend BUT instead we tore apart our house and got rid of about 2 truck loads of crap we have been storing for years and our huge entertainment stand (thank you Grandpa T. for taking it!!) and we also got rid of our big t.v. (60inch) I think that we have in our room. (thank you Mouse's Mom and Dad!!) Some might ask why on earth did we have such a big t.v. in our room...well that is a whole other story BUT we really didn't use it in there so it was a space grabber. The organizing and tearing apart our house was a CHORE!!! It took ALL weekend and it really wore me down...but it is almost done now!! I say almost because I still need your furniture set up so I can unclutter the area I have it piled in. (On top of this Tornado was sick all weekend SO that made it that much more of a challenge.)
  • You are pushing down oh so much lately and the pressure is NUTS!!! At times it really hurts. At times it is so strong I can not even sit up straight. Again something new, I did not have this with your brother.
Tell Me Tuesday ~ January 11 2011
This week I sit and wonder if I am ready for the hospital and if I have forgotten anything.
2010 Recap
I must say I am glad to see 2010 end!!
Here is what happened at our house:
  • We went on holidays and well on holidays our van was stolen from out front of our house.
  • Because of our van being stolen we invested in a new van, 2010 Grand Caravan.
  • Found out we would be having another bundle of joy joining our family!! This was a surprise pregnancy, I was on birth control at the time.
  • I reconnected and have become very close with my cousin Cozy!! Tornado has also gotten to know his cousins, Cozy's kidlets, and loves them to pieces.
  • Went on our first camping trip and had to pack up at 9pm because of Tornado's asthma. That night we ended up at the Children's Hospital because of it.
  • Had another visit to the Emergency Room because of his asthma a few months later.
  • Started going to the asthma clinic to get his asthma under control.
  • Tornado started preschool.
  • Tornado had surgery to fix his teeth, this was a very stressful wait for Mom and Dad.
  • We got our bed replaced, thank goodness for warranties!! The reason it was replaced is because Tornado had a nose bleed one night and well the blood stain would not come out. First they sent me stuff to spray on it, than they sent out a cleaner guy, than we got a new bed!! We spent $1300 on the mattress and got it replaced with a $2300 mattress!!
  • Had our dryer fixed TWICE!!
  • I lost a very close friend because of misunderstandings, I still miss her and her kidlets.
  • My Grandma V. passed away Dec. 18 2010 at the age of 74.
  • My cousin Cozy welcomed her little girl into the world Dec. 31 @ 6:11pm.
  • Tornado has grown like a weed: shoes went from size 8 to size 13, shirts went from size 5 - size 7/8, pants went from size 4 to size 5!! But yet his weight remains about the same...only gained about 4 pounds all year. Grew about 6 inches for the year too, went from 36 7/8 inches to 43 inches!!
There were many ups and downs of 2010.
So with that being said:
Welcome 2011!! Here is to hoping this year brings lots of joy and happiness!!
Friday's Funny ~ The Bus Ride
The Bus Ride
Two bowling teams, one of all Blondes and one of all Brunettes, chartered a double-decker bus for a weekend trip to Louisiana.
The Brunette team rode on the bottom of the bus, and
the Blonde team rode on the top level.
The Brunette team down below really whooped it up,
having a great time, when one of them realized she
hadn't heard anything from the Blondes upstairs. She
decided to go up and investigate..
When the Brunette reached the top, she found all the
Blondes in fear, staring straight ahead at the road,
clutching the seats in front of them with white knuckles..
The brunette asked, 'What the heck's going on up here?
We're having a great time downstairs!'
One of the Blondes looked up at her, swallowed hard
and whispered...
'YEAH, BUT YOU'VE GOT A DRIVER!'
Oh We Laughed So Hard!!
We are sitting watching T.V. and in comes Tornado with the middle, toy story, tin and a piece of paper.
He says "O.K. lets see if you can guess the right one." Than runs off to him room.
I start laughing immediately but Dad is still lost and confused.
Than out from his room he brings the other two buckets. Well Dad understands now and the laughter begins.
Tornado says "O.K. you see this paper?"
Dad nods yes with tears running down his face.
Tornado "O.K. lets see if you can find it."
Oh we laughed the whole time he was switching around the tin and buckets. My stomach hurt, there were tears running down my face and well I was having a hard time catching my breathe.
Tornado "Mom it is your turn first." Well I couldn't just guess the right one right away...I had to play the game. LOL
Tornado switched them up again...
"Dad it is your turn now." Dad got it in one guess. LOL
We than explained to him that it is best to get 3 cups or containers that look the same.
When I was taking the picture of the first three things he brought out he also informed me I had to take a picture of the other three we told him to use so the audience would understand!!
What Happened In December!!
Here is what went on is December with Tornado
  • Tornado and Mom were out shopping one day and Tornado kept finding empty packages laying around. This really upset him!!!
Tornado "Mom we have to go find the Manager!! This is really bad!! People are stealing the stuff!!"
I reply "Yes honey it is bad to steal BUT we do not have to go find the manager. Just leave the package there and the staff will find it at the end of the day."
  • Tornado and Mom are driving to the Children's Hospital to go to Tornado's Asthma appointment.
Tornado says "MOM LOOK!! Santa's Reindeer just flew over us!!!"
Mom replies "REALLY!?!?!?! And I missed it."
Tornado says "Yep I guess so...they flew right over us!!!"
  • We are all just sitting watching T.V. one night and out of no where Tornado says "Do you remember when Grandma and Papy took me to the big movie theatre?"
Mom and Dad reply "Yep."
Tornado than says "Well I wish they would do that again. It was SUPER fun."
Mom says "Well than why don't you phone them and ask them."
Tornado gets a big grin on his face "YES!!!"
So Tornado phones them and no answer. Tornado is not very impressed that they did answer his phone call. (He expects someone to answer ALL the time when he calls, something we must work on. LOL) We wait a little bit and Tornado asks to call back. We let him and again no answer.
Tornado says "How come they are not answering me????"
Mom and Dad just giggle and say "Well sometimes people are busy. Don't worry they will call back once they get your messages."
Tornado finally, really it was not that long, gets to talk to Grandma and Papy and they say YES!!
After he went to the movie with Grandma and Papy he informed me that he liked going to the movies with them because he gets to visit a LONG time with them!!
That outing they saw "MegaMind in 3D"
  • One day when Grandma D. phoned to talk to Tornado he passes me the phone and says "Here keep her occupied I have to go pee."
  • Tornado is in the bathroom and he yells out to me "Mom don't you want to know what I am doing in the bathroom with the water running?"
  • It is 7pm and Dad has gone to make his lunch for the next day. Tornado asks if he can help. Dad tells him he has to wash his hands if he would like to help him. Tornado answers Dad with WELL I WASHED THEM THIS MORNING so they are still clean.
  • We are all playing Mario Cart on the Wii. We are taking turns picking the track and what we play. Tornado forgot the order and so we reminded him how it went. Tornado replies "I'm so embarrassed." LOL
  • One night I decide to let Tornado eat supper in his room so he can watch his show. (Yes I know we should eat at the table as a family but that just doesn't happen in my house) I go in his room to check on him and make sure he is still eating. I find my son wrapping/weaving his spaghetti noodles around his toes and than eating them!! EWE!! I wish I had thought about my camera for a photo.
  • Tornado has a root beer sucker.
I ask "What does it taste like?"
Tornado replies "ONIONS"
I think to myself YUCK!!
Tornado comes back and tells me "And this side tastes like KFC."
  • Movies that Tornado enjoys this month are Despicable Me, Toy Story 3, Tom and Jerry and well any Christmas show that passes by!!
  • Tornado thinks it is very funny to turn his butt to us and Fart. He lets out a giggle and says "HAHAHAH I farted in your face HAHAHAHA"
  • We are driving to my first doctors appointment with the OBGYN.
Tornado says "Hey this is where you got your bras from."
Now at first I did not understand the boy...so it was many what's, I'm sorry Hun I don't understand etc. Until he finally said "Mom you know the things you put on your BOOBS!!!"
I laughed so hard!! I just love how kids find different ways to tell you things. Now for the record we had never been up that way before so where he got that is where I bought my bras is beyond me.
  • This month we had to do a change in his inhaler...TWICE. The first time was because it is a lower a dose and better than the orange one. They have found studies and ACTUALLY have proof now that the orange one stunts growth. (Good thing they didn't use my son for a test subject...he is a growing machine!!)
WELL this one, the red one, made him have such bad emotions and impulses. He would have a temper tantrum over the smallest of things, like having a cup of milk vs juice. He would go to hit you but at the same time say Sorry. When you asked him why he did this he would answer because my brain told me too. He was a son I did recognize and it had me questioning myself wondering what to do. It was a horrible feeling and I never want to have to experience that again. I felt like I had failed as a Mom.
WELL on the red inhaler he got his first write up at school. They were sitting at their cubby's ready to go home and what does my son do...HE PUSHES Dustin's head into the wall!! No reason for doing so...he just did it. For the 2 weeks he was on this red inhaler he had been hitting, kicking, punching, not listening and just plan out being bad!! But that was the final straw!! He could of really hurt Dustin, thankfully it was not super hard and Dustin was OK...just shocked.
It was that day that I went home and I rattled my brain as to why our son had become a monster. The only thing that had changed in that 2 weeks was his inhaler. SO I did some research and sure enough these were side effects, not common ones but they were there. The next day I phoned the Asthma Clinic and informed them of what was going on. They put a stop to that inhaler right away!! They than faxed me a new prescription for a different inhaler.
Who knew an inhaler could do that?!?!
  • Tornado got his 4.5 needles this month too. He was scared it was going to hurt. BUT he did not cry..not even a tear!! What a big boy I have!! :) He is 40 pounds (45-50 percent) and 43 Inches (95 percent). The little bugger has grown 1/2 inch since September!!
