Happy Halloween 2010!!

This year was Tornado's first HALLOWEEN party at his preschool!! He was so very excited!! He picked out his costume and there was no changing his mind on this one, it was very cute. Now me being the bad mom forgot to bring along my camera to get the group picture BUT I do have a few mom's that will email them to me. :) When I get them I will be sure to share!!

The morning before his party.
Chopping up his head! LOL
Now here I think he believes he is a witch skeleton!!
The face paint did not stay on for long though. I had to take it off before we left for preschool because it was making his face TOO itchy!! He told me he would be a VERY special skeleton because his face was not painted.
He even went around making the sound of chattering bones!! This was a great day!! For him but not for me. LOL He came home from the party just WIRED!! It is not a good idea to stuff the kids full of candy at 915AM and than send them home at 1115AM. But we survived the day and now I have an idea what to look forward to for Sunday. LOL
When I asked him what he did at preschool this is what he told me:
We played BINGO!! I had to make a line!!
We played bowling!!
We did crafts!!
We had CANDY!!
And at the end of the day they got to come around to all of us parents and Trick or Treat with the bags they had made!!

Tornado Update For October

SO we had our roof redone, thank goodness it was the week before the snow fell and the cold weather set in!! We were not home when they finished up so we did not see what they had done. WELL those nice worker men, as Tornado calls them, re shingled his play house!! SO I made sure that my hubby sent them a nice email thanking them for the nice job they had done!! (he had the info not me or I would have emailed them.) It really made Tornado's day!!

Tornado says "WOW!! That was very nice of those worker men to do my play house roof too!! Now I don't have to worry about it leaking for YEARS!!!"

So we all know this picture as a Motorbike or a Motorcycle...not Tornado!! He calls it a Motorbycle!!

We were driving along and beside us pulls up a Motorbike.

Tornado "A Motorbycle!!"

Dad "It is a motorbike or motorcycle."

Tornado "NOPE not to me Dad!! To me it is a motorbycle!!"

Oh my I laughed so hard!!

We are laying on the couch snuggling one night:

Dad says to Tornado "I love you Buddy"

Tornado replies "Thanx"
That is it that is all...nothing else was said. But you sure could hear me laughing up a storm.

One night I am giving Tornado a shower down and he has this blue foam soap in a can. I spray it all over his body.

He yells out "My penis has a MUSTACHE!!" and just cracks up.

Oh my he made me laugh so hard!!

Pumpkin Fun!!

Tornado seen pumpkins being carved on the T.V. one morning. He was set in his ways to carve a pumpkin that day! He hounded us and hounded us until we finally got home to carve the pumpkin. We had agreed in the morning that we would carve a pumpkin that day BUT that was not enough for him. LOL
We ventured out to Blue Grass, because that is where they were having a big event that we seen on the T.V. ! Well it was a freaking ZOO!! So we turned around and went back. We ended up buying him a pumpkin at Co-op. WOW pumpkins are expensive. $0.39/pound does not sound bad BUT in the end this pumpkin was $15.00!! Oh well it was fun had by all so the price does not matter!!
Showing his pumpkin he loves it!!
Yep we made him stick his hand inside!!
EWE!!!!
Cutting out the eyes.
"That's pretty cool!"
The finished product! You can not see it but he gave his pumpkin ears too. He needed ears to be able to hear us. LOL

Tell Me Tuesday ~ October 26 2010

This Weeks Tell Me Tuesday...

Where do you do most of your grocery shopping? And why?

Last Week was about when to have a baby shower. In the end I think having it after the baby won!! Most people like to meet the baby and that is why.

Myself I prefer before baby so I can spoil the little one before the baby is born. Most of the time the parents already have everything they need before baby is born or would like to have everything before hand.

But really either way works for me too. :)

This time I will be having my Baby Shower before hand, my wonderful Mother is putting it on for me!! Than after baby is born I will have a meet and greet for everyone too!!

Pregnancy Update ~ 23 weeks 3 days

YIKES!! Look at those stretch marks!! I think I am brave for sharing this photo with my bloggy friends.

My doctors appointment today (Oct.22 2010)

SO here it is:

I have gained 20 pounds so far...YIKES!! I am now 125pounds!!
Blood pressure was good 110/60...now I thought the 60 part was low but I know nothing about blood pressure so we will go with the quack-a-doodle-doo says.
Baby Girls heart beat was 140 ~ It is really cute because Tornado just LOVES hearing her heart beat!! He talks into the speaker and tells her a story every time!!
My tummy measures 23cm, right on track!! But why do I feel SO freaking huge!! LOL
I got the blood work for drinking that horrible drink. I have been told they have changed it and it is not flat and HORRIBLE!! Is this true?!?! I hope not but I will soon find out.

Now to the rest of the update:

It is crazy to think with Tornado at this stage I was already in and out of the hospital with him. I went to the hospital for the first time at 22 weeks because of contractions. Than a few more times in between. Than admitted to the hospital at 24 weeks. Got stabbed a few times with the needle filled with steroids to help his lungs. I was in the hospital for 1 month!! It was horrible!!

When I got out it didn't get any better...I was put on bed rest. NO bathing NO getting out of bed (expect to pee) NO doing NOTHING until my hubby got home. I must also point out he is a carpenter SO it was LONG days for him.

I finally got off bed rest and BAM that night out he came. I think it is cuz I was able to walk around and do a few lite things around the house. LOL

At 22 weeks with Tornado we had all our baby things purchased and were all ready for him. We were eager first parents!! And well I am one that needs to be ready way in advance. If I am not prepared early I feel behind and rushed.

With this baby we only have a handful of things. It is driving me crazy not being set and ready.

With Tornado all I drank was pop an slurpees. I smoked with him :( I ate whatever with him. I worked like a hound dog. I had no idea on the dos and don'ts of pregnancy.

This time I am following the guidelines. I am still not drinking caffeine, which is a HUGE step for me!! I do miss having my sandwiches with lunch meat and my morning coffee BUT in time I will get it all back. It is all worth the life style change!!

That about sums it all up.

Oops forgot to put in Tornado's point of view on his baby sister. He asks her every morning to come out. I explain to him that she can not come out now because it would be really bad. He knows it will happen after Christmas but that is A LONG TIME, so he says.

He talks to her every day. He rubs my belly every day. He even asks her what she wants to eat and than tells me what she told him.

He asks her to save room on the couch, so he can snuggle with Mommy too.

He is such a GREAT big brother!! I just hope it continues once she is really here. I am sure his nose will get pushed out of joint but we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

Now I think that about sums it up!!

The next big decision is deciding whether to buy a used breast pump form kijiji or buy one brand new or just rent one...anyone have any suggestions on this topic?

Friday's Funny ~ Black Robbers

My Mother-In-Law sent me this and I couldn't help but share the laughter!! ENJOY!!

BLACK ROBBERS (A True Story)
For anyone who didn't see the episode of David Letterman's show where this story was told, read this: (And remember it's a true story...)

On a recent weekend in Atlantic City , a woman won a bucketful of quarters at a slot machine. She took a break from the slots for dinner with her husband in the hotel dining room. But first she wanted to stash the quarters in her room. 'I'll be right back and we'll go to eat' she told her husband and carried the coin-laden bucket to the elevator. As she was about to walk into the elevator she noticed two men already aboard. Both were black. One of them was very tall and had an intimidating figure. The woman froze. Her first thought was: 'These two are going to rob me.' Her next thought was: 'Don't be a bigot; they look like perfectly nice gentlemen.' But racial stereotypes are powerful, and fear immobilized her.

Avoiding eye contact, she turned around stiffly and faced the elevator doors as they closed. A second passed, and then another second, and then another. Her fear increased! The elevator didn't move. Panic consumed her. 'My God' she thought, I'm trapped and about to be robbed!

Her heart plummeted. Perspiration poured from every pore. Then one of the men said, 'Hit the floor.' Instinct told her to do what they told her. The bucket of quarters flew upwards as she threw out her arms and collapsed on the elevator floor. A shower of coins rained down on her.

'Take my money and spare me', she prayed. More seconds passed. She heard one of the men say politely, 'Ma'am, if you'll just tell us what floor you're going to, we'll push the button.' The one who said it had a little trouble getting the words out. He was trying mightily to hold in a belly laugh. The woman lifted her head and looked up at the two men. They reached down to help her up.

Confused, she struggled to her feet. 'When I told my friend here to hit the floor,' said the average sized one, I meant that he should hit the elevator button for our floor. I didn't mean for you to hit the floor, ma'am.' He spoke genially. He bit his lip. It was obvious he was having a hard time not laughing.

The woman thought: 'My God, what a spectacle I've made of myself.' She was too humiliated to speak. The three of them gathered up the strewn quarters and refilled her bucket. When the elevator arrived at her floor they then insisted on walking her to her room. She seemed a little unsteady on her feet, and they were afraid she might not make it down the corridor.

At her door they bid her a good evening. As she slipped into her room she could hear them roaring with laughter as they walked back to the elevator. The woman brushed herself off. She pulled herself together and went downstairs for dinner with her husband.

The next morning flowers were delivered to her room; a dozen roses. Attached to EACH rose was a crisp one hundred-dollar bill. The card said: 'Thanks for the best laugh we've had in years.
It was signed: Eddie Murphy & Michael Jordan.
